Prioritize Your Time
Like Jesus Did

Mark 1:29-38 NASB2020‬

[29] And immediately after they left the synagogue, they entered the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.

[30] Now Simon’s mother-in-law was lying sick with a fever; and they immediately *spoke to Jesus about her.

[31] And He came to her and raised her up, taking her by the hand, and the fever left her, and she served them.

[32] Now when evening came, after the sun had set, they began bringing to Him all who were ill and those who were demon-possessed.

[33] And the whole city had gathered at the door.

[34] And He healed many who were ill with various diseases, and cast out many demons; and He would not permit the demons to speak, because they knew who He was.

[35] And in the early morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house, and went away to a secluded place, and prayed there for a time

[36] Simon and his companions eagerly searched for Him;

[37] and they found Him and *said to Him, “Everyone is looking for You.”

[38] He *said to them, “Let’s go somewhere else to the towns nearby, so that I may also preach there; for this is why I came.

Luke 10:38-42 NASB2020‬

[38] Now as they were traveling along, He entered a village; and a woman named Martha welcomed Him into her home.

[39] And she had a sister called Mary, who was also seated at the Lord’s feet, and was listening to His word.

[40] But Martha was distracted with all her preparations; and she came up to Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to do the serving by myself? Then tell her to help me.”

[41] But the Lord answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and distracted by many things;

[42] but only one thing is necessary; for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”

Luke 9:51-52 NASB2020

[51] When the days were approaching for His ascension, He was determined to go to Jerusalem;

[52] and He sent messengers on ahead of Him, and they went and entered a village of the Samaritans to make arrangements for Him.

‭John 17:4 NASB2020

[4] I glorified You on the earth by accomplishing the work which You have given Me to do.

Seek God in the Secret Place

Withdraw From All The Noise
To A Solitary Place &  Seek God
& Be Led By The Spirit

Luke 4:42 NASB2020
[42] Now when day came, Jesus left and went to a secluded place; and the crowds were searching for Him, and they came to Him and tried to keep Him from leaving them.

Luke 5:15-16 NASB2020
[15] But the news about Him was spreading even farther, and large crowds were gathering to hear Him and to be healed of their sicknesses.
[16] But Jesus Himself would often slip away to the wilderness and pray.

Luke 6:12 NASB2020
[12] Now it was at this time that He went off to the mountain to pray, and He spent the whole night in prayer with God.

Matthew 14:13 NASB2020
[13] Now when Jesus heard about John, He withdrew from there in a boat to a secluded place by Himself; and when the people heard about this, they followed Him on foot from the cities.

Mark 1:9-12 NASB2020
[9] In those days Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan.
[10] And immediately coming up out of the water, He saw the heavens opening, and the Spirit, like a dove, descending upon Him;
[11] and a voice came from the heavens: “You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.”
[12] And immediately the Spirit brought Him out into the wilderness.

Psalms 10:4 NASB2020‬
[4] The wicked, in his haughtiness, does not seek Him. There is no God in all his schemes.

Psalms 46:10 NASB2020
[10] “Stop striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted on the earth.”

©️ Clarke, Adam. "Commentary on Psalms 46:10".
"Be still, [stop striving] and know that I am God — הרפו harpu, Cease from your provocations of the Divine justice; cease from murmuring against the dispensations of his providence; cease from your labour for a season, that ye may deeply reflect on the severity and goodness of God-severity to those who are brought down and destroyed; goodness to you who are raised up and exalted:-cease from sin and rebellion against your God; let that disgrace you no more, that we may no more be brought into distress and desolation.

Know that I am God — Understand that I am the Fountain of power, wisdom, justice, goodness, and truth.

I will be exalted among the heathen — By the dispensation of punishments, the heathen shall know me to be the God of justice; by the publication of my Gospel among them, they shall know me to be the God of goodness.

I will be exalted in the earth. — I will have my salvation proclaimed in every nation, among every people, and in every tongue."

Don't Be Anxious

Let Your 'Yes' be 'Yes'

Matthew 5:37 NASB2020‬
[37] But make sure your statement is, ‘Yes, yes’ or ‘No, no’; anything beyond these is of evil origin.

‭Philippians 4:6-7 NASB2020‬

[7] And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

‭2 Corinthians 8:11 NASB2020‬

Redeem Your Time

Go aside where it's quiet and pray. Be calm. Lord Jesus Himself is our peace. He is full of grace and truth.

[23] But as they were sailing along He fell asleep; and a fierce gale of wind descended on the lake, and they began to be swamped and to be in danger.
[24] They came up to Jesus and woke Him, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!” And He got up and rebuked the wind and the surging waves, and they stopped, and it became calm.
[25] And He said to them, “Where is your faith?” But they were fearful and amazed, saying to one another, “Who then is this, that He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey Him?”

Political Intrigue & Conspiracy

Political Intrigue & Conspiracy

Hosea 7:3-7 GNT‬

³ The Lord says, “People deceive the king and his officers by their evil plots.

They are all treacherous and disloyal. Their hatred smolders like the fire in an oven, which is not stirred by the baker until the dough is ready to bake.

⁵ On the day of the king's celebration they made the king and his officials drunk and foolish with wine.

⁶ Yes, they burned like an oven with their plotting. All night their anger smoldered, and in the morning it burst into flames.

⁷ “In the heat of their anger they murdered their rulers. Their kings have been assassinated one after another, but •no one prays to me for help.”

•Call on Jesus!

‭1 Timothy 2:1-3 GNT‬

¹ First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, requests, and thanksgivings be offered to God for all people; ² for kings and all others who are in authority, that we may live a quiet and peaceful life with all reverence toward God and with proper conduct.

³ This is good and it pleases God our Savior,

Christians, do you pray that God's will or your will be done in our politics?

Western Cape drought

Western Cape drought

Trusting God, waiting on Him

All thoughout this drought of ours when I cry out to God, talk to Him about it, He always takes me to Scripture regarding drought.  And I rejoice, because He has brought me to Scriptures a few times where it says that He gives the rain.  I know God will eventually come through for us.  He is a good, merciful God.

Look at this Scripture....GOD commands the clouds that they rain no rain on us.  I just hope and pray our local government will mention God in all their efforts of running to and fro planning for more water.  No acknowledgement from them about God.

And this whole drought has become a political game. God cannot be blamed even though He brings the drought because our national government and our Western Cape provincial government had a warning of a coming shortage years ago already, but they did nothing to prepare.

Everywhere we see new building projects going on but nothing is being done to prepare for the growing burden on our water infrastructure.  Now they are rushing around extracting underground water, building 3 small desalination plants, whereas they could have started on big ones years ago, but always claim there is no money, but the Department of Water and Sanitation spend hundreds of millions on a new building recently for new offices.  Mismanagement is to blame and hunger for power!

So we wait on God and His perfect timing and I for one, trust only in Jesus because as we see, people will always disappoint us.  And it is not as if we did not get any rain at all.  We did.  And I praise Him and thank Him for every drop!👐💕

I will really appreciate your on-going prayers regarding our drought.  Please pray God for wisdom for the government and for unity of the people, for a house divided cannot stand, even the political house and of course please pray for abundance of rain, to break our drought.  Thank you and God bless you always.🙏💕🕊️

Encouragement for you

Good morning everyone of you precious people!🤗Yes you are precious to God!  I want to tell you that God is so true to His word!  Today I read this Scripture in the picture and I had such joy because I was reminded of just the other day when I had the symptom of flu starting in my body, achy body all over and I take care of my sick Ma and I asked the Lord to please be merciful to me and take the flu from me because I need my strength to take care of Ma.  He took it from me.  He answered my prayer.
Now look at this Scripture, He who takes care of the weak, "the Lord sustains them on their sickbed and restores them from their bed of illness"!  Isn't our God awesome?!
Directly translated from my Afrikaans translation it says "he who takes care of the weak".
So take heart if you are taking care of someone who is sick, the Lord will sustain you and restore you if you should get sick. Just ask Him!
Someone might say but why does He not restore the one you're taking care of.  I do not know, God only knows.  Because I do pray for healing for her, and the Lord is very kind to her, He does not heal her of Alzheimer's, but He gives her strength and sometimes a little clarity of mind that she is able to laugh with us, small things that I notice how the Lord blesses her.
But I pray everyday for THIS day, for strength for me and my Ma, because I do not worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow has enough of its own troubles.
Have a lovely day and never forget when trouble comes your way, hard times, sickness, ask your heavely Father to help you!  He wants to help us.  We only need to ask in faith.
(A follower of a famous American church told me one time on Youtube in the comments section, when I asked why do we never see Alzheimer's patients healed in their ministries and I was told to pray for my Ma and if there is no healing it may be that I do not have enough faith.)  That really hurt, because I always pray in faith.  But I also know that God does not always heal!  If God should be healing everyone all the time, then none of us will ever die!  So I may pray in faith, but it is all in God's hands and I accept when God does not heal.  I do not get angry because I know that whatever God does or does not do, His will is good and right!  He does as HE pleases and I am good with that because I know I worship a GOOD GOD!  God bless you. Be blessed and encouraged by this Scripture.♥🕊️🌹

When God answers

Where do I begin?  Well not to make it too long I'll get to the point.
On Friday the 5th 2016 my husband asked me to please pray that God answers him regarding a big decision he wants to make.  He was planning on doing it in two years' time, but the opportunity arose to do it this year (to do with his job/future), but those interested had to fill in the forms before the 10th.  So we prayed, he prayed, I prayed whether this was God's will for him, whether this was the way God wanted us to go now.
So last night I was again praying, reminding God about answering us before the 10th.  After prayer God led me in His word to Ps 143.
Hear my prayer, O Lord;
    listen to my plea!
Answer me because you are faithful and righteous.
I lift my hands to you in prayer.
I thirst for you as parched land thirsts for rain.
Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning,
    for I am trusting you.
Show me where to walk,
for I give myself to you.
10 Teach me to do your will,
    for you are my God.
May your gracious Spirit lead me forward
    on a firm footing.
11 For the glory of your name, O Lord, preserve my life.
Because of your faithfulness, bring me out of this distress.
Those verses spoke to my heart and especially when I read verse 8, I had this joy rise up in me and I had this 'knowing' that God was going to answer us this morning.  The following is what I wrote in my spiritual journal last night:
(I'm translating because I wrote it in my mother tongue.)
I believe with my whole heart that the Lord is going to answer us because we are asking for His guidance!  We are knowing Him in this big decision we want to make.  We do not want to operate in our flesh, in our own wisdom and understanding because then we can only go wrong.  Therefore He will show us the way forward, the path we are to take.  His good Spirit will lead us on a level road.  I believe He is going to let us know in the morning as to what to do.  We are waiting on you Lord and we know you are a God who is always on time.  Your timing is always perfect.
So this afternoon my husband comes home from work and tells me that he believes the Lord answered him.  He said that another man at work who also needed the same forms (my husband did not even try to fill out the forms because he was waiting on God!), came to get some and he was told there are none in stock!  They have to order it and the deadline has been extended to the 12th!  haha  Do you see it?  How the Lord answered?  No forms for my husband to fill out!  That's a clear cut answer from God that He does not want my husband to do that now.  I knew it wasn't God's will right at this time in our life.  I just knew it.  Oh my goodness, the Lord is so amazing.  How can anyone doubt that this was all His doing. :D  I LOVE YOU MY LORD MY GOD of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob!  Thank you JESUS.  Tomorrow is a public holiday, so today was actually the last day to get an answer from the Lord. :)  See, God's timing, perfect timing...and it was in the morning that He gave His answer.

This morning the Lord led me in His word to Daniel 6, Daniel in the lions' den.  I learned a lot from that, but what stood out and applied to us was the fact that Daniel trusted in His God and also through all that happened to Daniel, in the end God got all the glory!  Just like here, we trusted in God and here I am giving Him all the glory and He gets it because there is no doubt the way things happened, the way God answered us, was God and only God's doing.  Hallelujah!  Thank you Lord my God!  Blessed be your Holy Name Jesus. ^_^ ♥†♥
So I decided to blog this and boast in our God so that you can be encouraged that when you ask God for an answer, He will surely do so...in His way!  God bless you.  Thanks for reading.

Stand in the gap

We must pray for our nations, stand in the gap!  Pray for the leaders even if you do not support them, they are chosen by God for a reason even if we do not understand it sometimes.  We may

Faith, forgiveness and prayer

Let go of all unforgiveness before we pray, so that God can also forgive us. If we do not, God won't forgive us our sins.

If you are having trouble letting go and to forgive someone, take it to God in prayer, be honest with God, ask His help. Pray for those who hurt you, who did you wrong, pray with all your heart for them. It will change you, it will make you grow in your love for others, even your enemies, just like Jesus said, to love our enemies, pray for them, bless them. God will help you and fill your heart with His love for people.

God bless you.

Seducers

The quote below is words from the Lord by I guess a prophetess.... apparently the Lord is speaking about us trying to add works to His finished work.
"It is THE ENEMY'S VOICE that tells you that your God is not enough. He TELLS YOU THAT YOU MUST PRAY MORE, fast more, and give more."

I highlighted the words in caps because that's what caught my eye.  Since when will the enemy tell us to pray more?  Since when is praying more, adding our works to Jesus' finished work?  And since when is it wrong to pray more?
THE BIBLE tells us to PRAY WITHOUT CEASING!

Just the other day the Lord led me in His word to Ezekiel 13 where He tells Ezekiel to prophesy against the women who prophesy out of their own heart!  And here I see this woman's "word from the Lord", contradicting the Bible. :(

Just like that prophecy given by Stanley Frodsham from 1965 said, they will first preach true doctrine, according to the Bible and then when they've won the hearts of the people, they bring in their false doctrines.

Quote from Stanley Frodsham's 1965 prophecy:
"I warn you to search the Scriptures diligently these last days. For the things that are written shall indeed be made manifest. There shall come deceivers among My people in increasing numbers, who shall speak forth the truth and shall gain the favor of the people. For the people shall examine the Scriptures and say, "What these men say is true." Then when they have gained the hearts of the people, then and THEN ONLY shall they bring out these wrong doctrines. Therefore, I say that you should not give your hearts to men, nor hold people's persons in admiration. For by these very persons shall Satan enter into My people. WATCH FOR SEDUCERS. Do you think a seducer will brandish a new heresy and flaunt it before the people? He will speak the words of righteousness and truth, and will appear as a minister of light, declaring the Word. The people's hearts shall be won. Then, when the hearts are won, they will bring out their doctrines, and the people shall be deceived. The people shall say, "Did he not speak thus and thus? And did we not examine it from the Word? Therefore he is a minister of righteousness."

See, they will mix in a little bit of truth with their lies.

Christians, we need to discern false prophets/teachers and we can ask God for discernment.  Ask Him, if you want to stand for the truth of God's word alone and no man/woman's false doctrine, God will see your heart for the truth and He will help you to discern, but we also need to stay in the Bible because that's how we will discern with the Holy Spirit's help! :)  I don't know everything!  But Holy Spirit is guiding me into all truth...slowly but surely, because I ask Him and I hunger for the truth.

Let us be wise as serpents in these evil days, yet gentle as doves.  The only reason I am posting this is to warn people.

Rejoice always, PRAY WITHOUT CEASING, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
~•1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

“Likewise, son of man, set your face against the daughters of your people, who prophesy out of their own heart; prophesy against them,"
~•Ezekiel 13:17

“Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves."

The Lord our Healer

If someone hurt you with their words or by their actions and your heart is broken, please know that you are not alone. Jesus will heal your broken heart, He will bind up your wounds.
Keep those who hurt you in prayer, yes pray for them! I know it is hard, but press through and you will be amazed how Jesus will heal your heart.

Pray always

In the Bible we are told to pray always. From the Old Testament to the New Testament...PRAY, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for us. We are fighting a spiritual battle in prayer. Each and every Christian is a warrior on the spiritual battlefield. Let us be diligent. Let us not slack concerning our prayer life, thereby giving the devil the opportunity to gain a foothold in our lives.

O Jerusalem, I have posted watchmen on your walls; they will pray to the LORD day and night for the fulfillment of his promises. Take no rest, all you who pray.
~•Isaiah 62:6

Keep on praying.
~•1 Thessalonians 5:17
