God controls the weather

Look there... the Lord our God does all these things!  Either to punish people or to show His love and all He does is righteous and justified.

“My heart pounds as I think of this. It trembles within me.
Listen carefully to the thunder of God’s voice as it rolls from his mouth. It rolls across the heavens, and his lightning flashes in every direction.
Then comes the roaring of the thunder— the tremendous voice of his majesty.

He does not restrain it when he speaks. God’s voice is glorious in the thunder.
We can’t even imagine the greatness of his power.
“He directs the snow to fall on the earth and tells the rain to pour down. Then everyone stops working so they can watch his power.
The wild animals take cover and stay inside their dens.
The stormy wind comes from its chamber, and the driving winds bring the cold. God’s breath sends the ice, freezing wide expanses of water.

He loads the clouds with moisture, and they flash with his lightning. The clouds churn about at his direction. They do whatever he commands throughout the earth.

He makes these things happen either to punish people or to show his unfailing love."

God's protection!

This morning (14th June 2015) when I tried to open the front door, it wouldn't open.  The handle turned way too much around so I knew someone must have tried to break into our house!
So my husband went around the back to check the front door from the outside and 'lo and behold the front door handle was missing!
I reckon the burglars must have been interrupted.  To think we did not hear a thing!  They could have broken in and killed my Mom, my husband and I.  But THANKS BE TO OUR GOD who is faithful and did not allow them to enter our house!  Thank you Jesus my LORD!  I am always praying for protection around our house. Criminals have stolen much from us through the years.  Broken into our garage a few times, stolen our pool motors twice.  Unbelievable how brazen they are and they use marijuana or meth to be so brazen to do their crime.  One time when a guy broke into our garage the whole garage smelled of dope!  He got away by scaling our 6 foot wall with our weedeater in hand.  But they have never gotten inside our house.  I give God the glory for that!

Anyway, initially, after realising that someone tried to break into our home, I had a little bit of nauseous feeling in my tummy, but that went away quickly and I have this peace about me.  (Holy Spirit! :D )

I decided to have some alone time with the Lord and thank Him for keeping us safe from harm, who cares about a door handle anyway.  So I put on some worship music, worshipped our God and then I prayed and then God led me in His word to Proverbs 6:30-31 !! :)  See, God knows, He sees all and God will bless us sevenfold what the devil has stolen from us through the years and it is not just material.  He has stolen peace and joy from us through the years etc. and God is truly faithful in giving it back to us with interest!  Hallelujah!  Glory be to God!  <3

Just wanted to share this with you to remind you to always pray God's protection over you and your loved ones and over your property and to show you how faithful God is and how He speaks to us through His word!  God's word truly is alive!
"For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
~•Hebrews 4:12

The devil may kill our bodies, but he can't have our souls!  We were bought at a price!  The precious blood of Jesus and we are His!  Amen!
"And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."

~•Matthew 10:28

People do not despise a thief
If he steals to satisfy himself when he is starving.
Yet when he is found, he must restore sevenfold;
He may have to give up all the substance of his house.

~•Proverbs 6:30-31

And as I am typing here, two police vans are chasing a car, sirens galore, down our street!  The devil is working overtime!  We have to stay in prayer saints!  God bless all of you. ♥

Bless and be blessed

Christians, when your enemies revile you, do not revile back.  Rather bless them!  Bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them that persecute you.  And if we must do this for our enemies, how much more when the reviling is coming from Christians.  We have been called to be a blessing, so that we can receive the blessings of God.  (When I wrote that on a Christian page, a meanie Christian 'yelled' at me that it is not in the Bible, that I must have gotten that line from a prosperity pastor's book! lol ;) ) That verse (1 Peter 3:9) I was gleaning that from, is talking about temporal and spiritual blessings.

God promises us in His word that He will provide our needs.  God blesses us also spiritually with peace of mind, our sins forgiven and assurance that we have everlasting life!  Our God is a good God.  He thinks good thoughts toward us.
When we fear Him and walk in His ways, He blesses us.  I am not talking prosperity gospel here, but God does want to bless us.
The Bible says to delight yourself in the Lord and He shall give you the desires of your heart.

I know I'm stuck on this topic of praying for our enemies, blessing them, but I am just so in awe of the love of our God and I want to walk in obedience to Him.  It was just such an eye-opener when God led me to these scriptures the first time.  So many Christians are not doing what Jesus said, to pray for, love and bless all people, even our enemies.  They get mad at me when I write about it. :(  And it's not my words!  It's the word of God!  I also never used to pray for my enemies, but that all changed when I got saved and God started working on my heart.
So forgive me if I keep talking about this topic. :)

John Gill writes the following commentary on "that you may inherit a blessing":
Referring either to what goes before being called by grace to the discharge of all the above duties exhorted to, and particularly to suffer patiently all injuries and affronts; and instead of making returns in the same way, to bless and pray for those that have hurt us, either by words or deeds; see ( 1 Peter 2:20 1 Peter 2:21 ) or to what follows, that ye should inherit a blessing; temporal blessing or blessings; for godliness has the promise of this life and godly persons shall not want any good thing; and even while the blessings of others are cursed they have their outward mercies with a blessing, and they are blessings indeed to them; wherefore, the little they may have is better than the large affluence of others: and also spiritual blessing, or blessings; such as peace of conscience, the pardon of all their sins a justifying righteousness adopting grace, all supplies of grace from Christ, his presence and communion with him: and also an eternal one, even life for evermore; called so, because it springs from the free favour, good will, and blessing of God, and which its being an inheritance also shows; and because such that enjoy it are eternally and unspeakably happy.

"not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing."
~•1 Peter 3:9

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
~•Jeremiah 29:11

Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
