Faith in Christ

♡~•~♡~•~🩷🄹🄴🅂🅄🅂🩷~•~♡~•~♡

The Law & Faith in Christ

Galatians 3:2-16 NLT
[2] Let me ask you this one question: Did you receive the Holy Spirit by obeying the law of Moses? Of course not! You received the Spirit because you believed the message you heard about Christ.
[3] How foolish can you be? After starting your new lives in the Spirit, why are you now trying to become perfect by your own human effort?
[4] Have you experienced so much for nothing? Surely it was not in vain, was it?
[5] I ask you again, does God give you the Holy Spirit and work miracles among you because you obey the law? Of course not! It is because you believe the message you heard about Christ.
[6] In the same way, “Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.”
[7]♡ The real children of Abraham, then, are those who put their faith in God.
[8] What’s more, the Scriptures looked forward to this time when God would make the Gentiles right in his sight because of their faith. God proclaimed this good news to Abraham long ago when he said, “All nations will be blessed through you.”
[9] So all who put their faith in Christ share the same blessing Abraham received because of his faith.
[10] But those who depend on the law to make them right with God are under his curse, for the Scriptures say, “Cursed is everyone who does not observe and obey all the commands that are written in God’s Book of the Law.”
[11]🩷So it is clear that no one can be made right with God by trying to keep the law. For the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”
[12] This way of faith is very different from the way of law, which says, “It is through obeying the law that a person has life.”
[13] But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.”
[14] Through Christ Jesus, God has blessed the Gentiles with the same blessing he promised to Abraham, so that we who are believers might receive the promised Holy Spirit through faith.
[15] Dear brothers and sisters, here’s an example from everyday life. Just as no one can set aside or amend an irrevocable agreement, so it is in this case.
[16] God gave the promises to Abraham and his child. And notice that the Scripture doesn’t say “to his children,” as if it meant many descendants. Rather, it says “to his child”—and that, of course, means Christ.

Habakkuk 2:4 NLT
“Look at the proud!
They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked.
♡ But the righteous will live by their faithfulness to God.

Romans 1:17 NLT
This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by ♡faith. As the Scriptures say,
♡ “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”

Hebrews 10:37-38 NLT
37 “For in just a little while,
the Coming One will come and not delay.
38 And ♡my righteous ones will live by faith.
But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away.”

Have Faith & Peace in Christ Jesus
as You Do His will.🕊

Silver Lining

Silver Lining

Jesus is our silver lining. Always be focused on the good, if there is any, in all circumstances.

Philippians 4:8 NLT
And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

♡🩷♡
Ephesians 4:25
So stop telling lies. Let us tell our neighbors the truth, for we are all parts of the same body.

2 Corinthians 8:21
We are careful to be honorable before the Lord, but we also want everyone else to see that we are honorable.

Deuteronomy 16:20
Let true justice prevail, so you may live and occupy the land that the Lord your God is giving you.

1 Thessalonians 5:22
Stay away from every kind of evil.

James 3:17
But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7
⁴ Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud ⁵ or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. ⁶ It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. ⁷Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

Like A Child

Accept the
Kingdom of God
Like a Little Child

Luke 18:15-17 NLT
¹⁵ One day some parents brought their little children to Jesus so he could touch and bless them. But when the disciples saw this, they scolded the parents for bothering him.
¹⁶ Then Jesus called for the children and said to the disciples, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children.
¹⁷ I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.”

Matthew 18:3 NLT
Then he said, “I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven.

1 Corinthians 14:20 NLT
Dear brothers and sisters, don’t be childish in your understanding of these things. Be innocent as babies when it comes to evil, but be mature in understanding matters of this kind.

1 Peter 2:2 NLT
Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment,

Matthew 19:14 NLT
But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.”

Mark 10:15-16 NLT
I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.”
Then he took the children in his arms and placed his hands on their heads and blessed them.

Clay Jars

♡~•~♡~•~🩷🄹🄴🅂🅄🅂🩷~•~♡~•~♡

Treasure in Fragile Clay Jars

2 Corinthians 4:1-18 NLT
[1] Therefore, since God in his mercy has given us this new way, we never give up.
[2] We reject all shameful deeds and underhanded methods. We don’t try to trick anyone or distort the word of God. We tell the truth before God, and all who are honest know this.
[3] If the Good News we preach is hidden behind a veil, it is hidden only from people who are perishing.
[4] Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.
[5] You see, we don’t go around preaching about ourselves. We preach that Jesus Christ is Lord, and we ourselves are your servants for Jesus’ sake.
[6] For God, who said, “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ.
[7] We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.
[8] We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair.
[9] We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed.
[10] Through suffering, our bodies continue to share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies.
[11] Yes, we live under constant danger of death because we serve Jesus, so that the life of Jesus will be evident in our dying bodies.
[12] So we live in the face of death, but this has resulted in eternal life for you.
[13] But we continue to preach because we have the same kind of faith the psalmist had when he said, “I believed in God, so I spoke.”
[14] We know that God, who raised the Lord Jesus, will also raise us with Jesus and present us to himself together with you.
[15] All of this is for your benefit. And as God’s grace reaches more and more people, there will be great thanksgiving, and God will receive more and more glory.
[16] That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day.
[17] For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!
[18] So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.

1 Peter 2:9 NKJV
You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

Not Tricked

 ♡~•~♡~•~🩷🄹🄴🅂🅄🅂🩷~•~♡~•~♡

♥︎Not Influenced, Not Tricked with Lies

Ephesians 4:10-16 NLT
¹⁰ And the same one who descended is the one who ascended higher than all the heavens, so that he might fill the entire universe with himself.
¹¹ Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers.
¹² Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.
¹³ This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.
¹⁴ Then we will no longer be immature like children. ♥︎We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. ♥︎We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth.
¹⁵ Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church.
¹⁶ He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.

Trust Jesus & Joy will Spring

Romans 15:13 NLT
I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

♡🩷♡
©Coffman, James Burton. "Commentary on Romans 15:13".
"Such a glorious peace and joy are available from no other source than the life of faith in Jesus Christ. These priceless endowments of the soul are the Christian's badge of eternal inheritance, his true credentials of heavenly citizenship, and his impregnable defense against all the tribulations and temptations of life. Having peace with God and the joy of the Spirit in his soul, the Christian is redeemed indeed."

Isaiah 12:3
With joy you will drink deeply from the fountain of salvation!

John 4:10, 14
¹⁰ Jesus replied, “If you only knew the gift God has for you and who you are speaking to, you would ask me, and I would give you living water.”
¹⁴ But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.”

John 7:37-38
³⁷ On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me!
³⁸ Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’”

Psalms 36:8-9
⁸ You feed them from the abundance of your own house, letting them drink from your river of delights.
⁹ For you are the fountain of life,
the light by which we see.

Isaiah 44:3-4
³ For I will pour out water to quench your thirst and to irrigate your parched fields.
And I will pour out my Spirit on your descendants, and my blessing on your children.
They will thrive like watered grass, like willows on a riverbank.

Joel 2:23
Rejoice, you people of Jerusalem!
Rejoice in the Lord your God!
For the rain he sends demonstrates his faithfulness.
Once more the autumn rains will come,
as well as the rains of spring.

Moving Shadows

 ♡~•~♡~•~🩷🄹🄴🅂🅄🅂🩷~•~♡~•~♡
Moving Shadows
Psalms 39:6-7 NLT
We are merely moving shadows, and all our busy rushing ends in nothing. We heap up wealth, not knowing who will spend it.
And so, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in you.

♡🩷♡
Psalms 49:10 NLT
Those who are wise must finally die, just like the foolish and senseless, leaving all their wealth behind.

Ecclesiastes 2:18-19 NLT
¹⁸ I came to hate all my hard work here on earth, for I must leave to others everything I have earned.
¹⁹ And who can tell whether my successors will be wise or foolish? Yet they will control everything I have gained by my skill and hard work under the sun. How meaningless!

Luke 12:20 NLT
“But God said to him, ‘You fool! You will die this very night. Then who will get everything you worked for?’

1 Corinthians 7:31 NLT
Those who use the things of the world should not become attached to them. For this world as we know it will soon pass away.
