Faith in Christ

The Law & Faith in Christ

Galatians 3:2-16 NLT
[2] Let me ask you this one question: Did you receive the Holy Spirit by obeying the law of Moses? Of course not! You received the Spirit because you believed the message you heard about Christ.
[3] How foolish can you be? After starting your new lives in the Spirit, why are you now trying to become perfect by your own human effort?
[4] Have you experienced so much for nothing? Surely it was not in vain, was it?
[5] I ask you again, does God give you the Holy Spirit and work miracles among you because you obey the law? Of course not! It is because you believe the message you heard about Christ.
[6] In the same way, “Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.”
[7]♡ The real children of Abraham, then, are those who put their faith in God.
[8] What’s more, the Scriptures looked forward to this time when God would make the Gentiles right in his sight because of their faith. God proclaimed this good news to Abraham long ago when he said, “All nations will be blessed through you.”
[9] So all who put their faith in Christ share the same blessing Abraham received because of his faith.
[10] But those who depend on the law to make them right with God are under his curse, for the Scriptures say, “Cursed is everyone who does not observe and obey all the commands that are written in God’s Book of the Law.”
[11]🩷So it is clear that no one can be made right with God by trying to keep the law. For the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”
[12] This way of faith is very different from the way of law, which says, “It is through obeying the law that a person has life.”
[13] But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.”
[14] Through Christ Jesus, God has blessed the Gentiles with the same blessing he promised to Abraham, so that we who are believers might receive the promised Holy Spirit through faith.
[15] Dear brothers and sisters, here’s an example from everyday life. Just as no one can set aside or amend an irrevocable agreement, so it is in this case.
[16] God gave the promises to Abraham and his child. And notice that the Scripture doesn’t say “to his children,” as if it meant many descendants. Rather, it says “to his child”—and that, of course, means Christ.

Habakkuk 2:4 NLT
“Look at the proud!
They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked.
♡ But the righteous will live by their faithfulness to God.

Romans 1:17 NLT
This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by ♡faith. As the Scriptures say,
♡ “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”

Hebrews 10:37-38 NLT
37 “For in just a little while,
the Coming One will come and not delay.
38 And ♡my righteous ones will live by faith.
But I will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away.”

Renew Your Mind

Renew Your Mind

1 Peter 5:7 CEV
God cares for you, so turn all your worries over to him.

Philippians 4:13
Christ gives me the strength to face anything.

Romans 12:2
Don't be like the people of this world, but let God change the way you think. Then you will know how to do everything that is good and pleasing to him.

Renew your mind by finding hope in God’s Word.

Prayer:
"Lord, thank you for giving me strength to face all conditions—including anxiety. I pray that whenever I feel anxiety creeping in, I will find strength in the truths in your Word. May your words fill me with hope in anxious moments. May they shine light in the darkness of fear and sorrow. And may their truths chase away every lie, every thought that isn’t from you. In Jesus’s name, I pray. Amen."

Forsakers of Christ shall be consumed

Blessed day to you dear people.🤗💞
As long as we continue in faith, do the will of our Father in heaven, abide in Christ, God is able to make His servants stand!
Lately I see so many unbelievers claim that they "used to be Christians".
Look what the word of God says about those who forsake the Lord! They shall be consumed! That reminds me of our God who is a consuming fire!🔥
It is impossible to renew them again unto repentance for they crucify again for themselves the Son of God and put Him to an open shame.😢
They do not live by faith anymore, they now live in wilful sin and therefore there is no more sacrifice for their sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries.
As per Hebrews 6 & 10.

Glory to God alone, the righteous of the heavenly Zion who trust in Jesus Christ, are redeemed with justice and our repentance with righteousness!
Stand strong warriors of faith as you contend for the faith under trials, even unto death, to win the race to receive the prize, the crown of life!✝️💞🕊️

Hope

We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, sure and steadfast, which reaches inside behind the curtain,

Cussing │ Rivers of living waters

That's something I don't understand about some Christians.  Is there no conviction when they talk like that?  Because as a Christian, the Holy Spirit will convict you the moment you speak foul.

It is written in Ephesians 5:26-27 that Christ cleanses the church with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.  Yes Christ did it all through the shedding of His blood.  Do we now continue as always and there is never a change?  No!  God changes us through His word.  You read the word of God and those truths hit home and you are convicted and you start to change, in time comes a change that people notice, especially from what comes out of your mouth (or what you type on the internet!).

Christ said in Matthew 15:19 that it is what come out of our mouths that defile us, because it comes from our hearts from where come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.  These are the things which defile us.  With the help of the Holy Spirit, God's word changes us.

From our bellies will flow living waters.  That is the Holy Spirit flowing out of our hearts to bless others.  Now how can we as Christians be cussing and at the same time be a blessing with what comes from our heart, when what comes from our hearts are foul and not from the Holy Spirit?

Let us pray:
Father God I pray that you fill our hearts with your Holy Spirit and cleanse us by the washing of the water by the word so that from our hearts will flow rivers of living waters that will bless others.  We thank you for convicting us Father because you love us and are changing us into the image of Christ from glory to glory by your Spirit.
In Jesus' Holy Name we pray.
Amen.

But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
~2 Cor 3:18

Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening?
~James 3:11

If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless.

The goodness of God

I will never forget a Sunday in September 2013.  Early the morning during my time with the Lord, He led me to this scripture.  Later that morning my Ma had a stroke.  As we went through the motions, in hindsight, there was a peace in all of us (Ma, my husband and I) as we were driving her to the hospital, we were even joking and laughing in the car.  Peace surrounding us at the hospital.
The Lord brought to my remembrance what I read that morning and I was so happy, so so happy knowing God is in control, worrying won't help one bit!
Pray we did and for her healing and I told the Lord when He heals her from that stroke, I will testify in front of the whole congregation to His glory. (I am terribly shy, fear of man)
Exactly 10 days later, my Mom called me all excited that God healed her because she can use her hand again, pick up heavy objects which she could not do.  (Her healing was gradual over 10 days, from above her left elbow down to her fingers.)
On her 72nd birthday God healed her. :)

I was elated!  Later I thought about what I promised the Lord.  I was very nervous and praying fervently for God to help me, to give me boldness, courage to speak in front of the people.
That day when I went up front my lips were quivering, my voice shaky, I was crying, but I did it! :)  Glory be to God! ♥
I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength!

While making this picture I felt led to share this.  God bless all who read here in Jesus' Name.

Be bold, not afraid

Be more bold to speak the word of God without fear and be not in any way terrified of your enemies.  To you it has been granted on behalf of Christ to not only believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake.
If we should suffer for righteousness' sake, we are blessed and are not to be afraid of their threats nor be troubled.

and most of the brethren in the Lord, having become confident by my chains, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.

and not in any way terrified by your adversaries, which is to them a proof of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that from God. 29 For to you it has been granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake,
~•Philippians 1:14,28

But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you are blessed. "And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled."
~•1 Peter 3:14
