Joel 2:28-32 NLT
[28]  “Then, after doing all those things, I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions. 
[29] In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on servants—men and women alike. 
[30] And I will cause wonders in the heavens and on the earth— blood and fire and columns of smoke. 
[31] The sun will become dark, and the moon will turn blood red before that great and terrible day of the Lord arrives. 
[32] But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved, for some on Mount Zion in Jerusalem will escape, just as the Lord has said. These will be among the survivors whom the Lord has called.

[1] On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place. 
[2] Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. 
[3] Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. 
[4] And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.
[16] No, what you see was predicted long ago by the prophet Joel: [
17] ‘In the last days,’ God says, ‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams. 
[18] In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on my servants—men and women alike— and they will prophesy. 
[19] And I will cause wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below— blood and fire and clouds of smoke. 
[20] The sun will become dark, and the moon will turn blood red before that great and glorious day of the Lord arrives. 
[21] But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’

I See A Cloud

1 Kings 18:1-2; 41-46 NLT
1 Later on, in the third year of the drought, the Lord said to Elijah, “Go and present yourself to King Ahab. Tell him that I will soon send rain!” 

2 So Elijah went to appear before Ahab.

Meanwhile, the famine had become very severe in Samaria.

41 Then Elijah said to Ahab, “Go get something to eat and drink, for I hear a mighty rainstorm coming!”

42 So Ahab went to eat and drink. But Elijah climbed to the top of Mount Carmel and bowed low to the ground and prayed with his face between his knees.

43 Then he said to his servant, “Go and look out toward the sea.”

The servant went and looked, then returned to Elijah and said, “I didn’t see anything.”

Seven times Elijah told him to go and look. 

44 Finally the seventh time, his servant told him, “I saw a little cloud about the size of a man’s hand rising from the sea.”

Then Elijah shouted, “Hurry to Ahab and tell him, ‘Climb into your chariot and go back home. If you don’t hurry, the rain will stop you!’”

45 And soon the sky was black with clouds. A heavy wind brought a terrific rainstorm, and Ahab left quickly for Jezreel. 

46 Then the Lord gave special strength to Elijah. He tucked his cloak into his belt and ran ahead of Ahab’s chariot all the way to the entrance of Jezreel.

Dear ones, countless times the Lord has answered the prayers of His children. It may take years, but we continue to pray with unwavering faith and peace in our hearts, knowing that our God is both merciful and good. He tests our faith and allows everything to unfold in His perfect timing, just as we witnessed in Cape Town during the drought of 2017. So, do not fear when life feels overwhelming. Do not let your faith waver. Your Keeper and Provider is always vigilant. Persist in seeking His mercy, assistance, and provision for all your challenges. Remember, God is your Abba Father, and He truly cares for His children.
