Stand in the gap

We must pray for our nations, stand in the gap!  Pray for the leaders even if you do not support them, they are chosen by God for a reason even if we do not understand it sometimes.  We may
cast the dice [vote], but the LORD determines how they fall.  The word of God commands us to pray for kings and all in authority.
And ALL of us are commanded to pray!  Every single Christian, not just a select few.  Just imagine what our countries would be like if ALL Christians were standing in the gap for their nations and their leaders and not spewing hatred against this one or that one.  The word of God says life and death are in the power of the tongue!
Let us guard our mouths, be careful what we say to one another, about one another.  Do we speak blessings or cursings?  By the mouth of the upright a city is exalted.

“I looked for someone who might rebuild the wall of righteousness that guards the land. I searched for someone to stand in the gap in the wall so I wouldn’t have to destroy the land, but I found no one."
~Ezekiel 22:30 NLT

"Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,"
~1 Timothy 2:1-3 NKJV

God our Savior, (4) who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
~1 Timothy 2:4 NKJV

The lot is cast into the lap,
But its every decision is from the Lord.
~Proverbs 16:33 NKJV

The tongue can bring death or life;
those who love to talk will reap the consequences.
~Proverbs 18:21 NLT

And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell. For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by mankind. But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so. Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening?
~James 3:6-11 NKJV

By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted,
But it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.
~Proverbs 11:11
